OT: Scripting in *.organ file

Postby CatOrg » Mon Jul 25, 2011 1:52 am

Well thats not a typical question for jeuxdorgues, but I didnt found a really helpful forum, and the Verpeaux tutorial doesnt mention what I need.
How to reduce/define the size of the stops-buttons? (to fit in a more little screen)
Thanks in advance,
Francois

Hi Francois,

GrandOrgue stop images are not re-sizable, so the only way to configure usage for a smaller screen is re-arrange the stops to use the space above the manuals. What screen size are you using and which of the Stiehr Mockers organ dispositions do you want to have customized for your situation?

Kind regards,
GrahamG

Well, I decided to make my V-organ mobile, so I will use my laptop and the problem is not anymore a problem.

But for tuning the file, I need the complete macro-list and parameters definitions. I found the Verpeaux tutorial, but theres too much "we dont use that in the Smecno organ, so forget it (my own words ^^ )"
Where can I find the complete macro list?

Thanks again and again!

Dear Graham, best thanks, this is. But a work in progress? All open source project is per definition a work in progress, isnt it?

Well another question. I want to increase the Mocker-Stiehr to 3 manuals for practical use. I is positiv, II is G.O., III is positive, the coupler II/I makes of I a coupler-manual. Of course I will use this opportunity to have different registrations on I and III. So the question is, before I make big work in scripting, if myorgan accepts to use the same ranks independently in 2 manuals? Same windchest, and of course and specially important (sparing resources) same samples, but use here and there independently...

And last but not least:
- where is Oberhausbergen sample set? When I click and then <here>, I find only a sound font (I understand for jorgan), but where is the myorgan rar?
- where can i find other organs (I am searching first of all different styles for showing the differents aesthetics, german baroque and romantic, french symphonic, spanish and italian, french harmonium... must not be that big, but free; I know already the "orgue de salon", the little 5 stops of BRICET/GARET but... ahemmm... ) and doesnt list more...

Hi Francois,

Use the REF feature to re-use ranks from the other manuals. For example, on the Burea Church organ we do this for the Pedal when borrowing a Krumhorn 8 from Manual 002 where it is configured as the 16th rank of that manual...

[Stop016]
Name= Krumhorn 8'
NumberOfLogicalPipes=30
NumberOfAccessiblePipes=30

DisplayInInvertedState=N
StopControlMIDIKeyNumber=42
ShortcutKey=74
DispDrawstopCol=1
DispDrawstopRow=2
DispLabelColour=Black
DispLabelFontSize=Normal

Pipe021=REF:002:016:021
Pipe022=REF:002:016:022

The Oberhausbergen sample set is only available as a soundfont.

For more GrandOrgue sample sets, see my post on the Magle Music Forum : http://www.magle.dk/music-forums/11034- ... dex-4.html

Hope that helps :)

Thanks again for the Howto, well the scripting tutorial. But one more question, I dont know the name in english so I must explain.
I want to writen an organ file for simulating the organ in Oberdorf / Baselland. This organ has stops-cancelers, a reverted variation on Cavaillé-Coll appels d'anches. Like the reeds cancelers in some (german) organs. I didnt found anything. I suppose in HW it should work, else this is not possible to virtualize honnestly a Cavailé-Coll...
:?: :?: :?:
