Jeux d’orgues 2 : Stiehr-Mockers

This sample set allows you to play – with a single keyboard or an organ console connected to your computer – with sounds coming from a french historical organ of the XIXth century.

Note: This sample set was recorded more than twenty years ago, at a time when sound banks were measured in … megabytes and not in gigabytes as they are today; therefore, it does not reflect the quality of our current sample sets. For more realism, you can use Jeux d’orgues 3 or 4.

I love this app and an enjoying playing the organ again in my retirement.
I am not a midi expert and have not fiddled much with any of the settings. But someone told me I could configure this organ so that the pedal only plays the lowest note I play on my single keyboard. Having them all play makes my poor music sound awfully muddy. Can anyone tell me how I would do this? Greatly appreciate.

  5. I downloaded the above. VLC media player appears with what looks like many organ samples. How to I use them? I have LPX if that is necessary. Thanks

You need to use a specific program like Hauptwerk or GrandOrgue to use these sample-sets. Thank you for your comment.
